To Utah we go

Johnny and his friend Cameron took their first level of swimming lessons together this month. They were brave and had lots of fun! The day before our trip was the last lesson day, where they got to do the slide, diving board, and earned a treat.
First stop was Taylorsville. It had been two years since we'd visited one of my childhood friends who lives there. It cracked us up watching her 3 girls with Johnny. Our favorite was when they made up a game where they took turns standing on one side of the screen door and just hugged him. His face told us that he was still trying to decide whether he liked it or not...:)

The other little boy there was only 3 months old. But he's a cutie and all his sisters love him.

Here's Lydia, myself, and Savannah.
There's nothing like catching up with a good friend. It seems like time hasn't passed at all!

We took off to Hogle Zoo after our visit with friends. Their new exhibit for the seals/sea lions/polar bear was soooo neat! We just stood and watched for a long time...

The kiddos with the gorilla.

The real reason for our trip was for the wedding of my oldest niece. It was such a special experience (a little surreal, but special) to be apart of the event and be there as they were sealed in the Bountiful temple. The reception was gorgeous and we are happy to welcome Kyle to the family! My sister did so well hosting it all. Especially since the very next day was one of  her son's missionary homecoming as well. I didn't catch a picture of Christopher, but we're so glad he's home!!
