Island Park

We have some friends in our ward who have a family cabin in Island Park. All summer they've been trying to get us up there to it and it finally happened. We had the best time! Since they only have a teenager left at home (and they left him home), it was just our two little kids and us four adults. They were so good to us and we're so grateful for their kindness so that our family could experience something we couldn't have otherwise! Johnny cried and cried when we got home because he wanted to go back. Here's a few pictures of our adventure:
They drove us up to the top of Sawtelle mountain. Johnny loved the big "soccer ball". Ü

The view of Henry's Lake from the top.

This is Brother Well's with Johnny. He was just so good with him!

There were these 3 neat bunkbeds in one of the rooms. Johnny loved climbing up to the top, but decided against sleeping up there....

Mom & Lydia.
You can't really tell, but the view of the lake outlet was behind us, so right out the back of their cabin.

They had a dock down there with a paddle boat.

The kiddos ready to canoe on day 2.
We floated the river and just loved it! We saw so many fish and the weather was perfect. I provided more entertainment for Lydia than help with the rowing, but Matt was a more-than-capable guide.

We also saw a moose and her baby while we were out on the river. I didn't get a shot of them together, because they took off once too many people were getting too close! Go figure...
