Garden Time

Idaho weather is crazy. The last couple of years it's been hard to decide when to plant the garden because of the on-again off-again warm weather. We were actually on the ball enough this year to plant our squash and cucumber seeds ahead of time. We used this as a FHE lesson, though we learned that Johnny's still a little too young to grasp the whole "faith is like a seed" concept. Ü

Here's proof that our boy has issues being dirty. Matt desperately hopes he can get over this soon! haha

Getting the seeds planted in the egg cartons.
2 weeks later!!!
Planting in the chilly evening weather. We barely got the last seeds in before it started to pour rain. We made some improvements to our dirt this year (picked some rocks, added manure and sand) and are trying some new techniques to help with the weeding issues that I struggle with in a bad way (here's hoping our neighbor's "tried and true" methods really work). And now we water it and pray for better luck than we've experienced thus far in this location. The third time's the charm, right?
